okay I think

I've promised to rest and to go and see the consultant tomorrow at Welshpool and thus avoided being sent to Shrewsbury for a scan yesterday. The Braxtons calm down when I don't do very much and the 'leaking' likewise. I think we're okay. Likewise, New Baby is kicking like mad and has a strong heartbeat - so he/she/it is fine, it's just me that has had a fit of the wimbles.

And here's a tip. If you think you're going in to early labour, DON'T go googling for stuff about premature babies. Definitely not. Just. Switch. Off. The. Computer. And. Walk. Away.

No bees. Sorry.

I have everything crossed for you - and doing nothing sounds like the perfect move to me.

  2. Good tip. Baby's fighting, let her/him (why have I a feeling it's a she? Don't take any notice, I'm not clever that way) do that while you rest. You're being given a timely warning by your body.

  4. There's so much that can give you the heebeejeebies when you're pregnant, no doubt you know that.. . ;-) I think most mothers go in a few times worried about things that turn out perfectly ok though. You and baby will be fine, but I'm keeping everything crossed for you too.

  6. Both my youngest son and my nephew were born at 32/33 weeks, and both are fine. I nearly lost my son a couple of times, and bled all through the pregnancy, but he got here and he's fine and 6' tall now! been. There were plenty of babies in SCBU who were born earlier than them too.

  9. Been there, googled that and you're right, there are times when so much information is poisonous to your state of mind. Keep positive.

If the good wishes of a stranger can help in any way, know that you have mine.

  11. Definitely time to kick back with your feet up. Look at it this way: once the new baby comes, you will not have time to sit down and rest for at least a year (I speak from personal experience.) So do some extra snuggling and reading with the men in your life. I, too, have had a feeling from day one that this is a girl.

Step right away from anything that begins with google, right now lady. pfft.

I do hope you are feeling better by the time you read this, and that you're resting, of course.
