don't wine

Today we are cracking on with repairing the leak - and I am trying to have less time on the computer, as I don't think it's helping my mental health and wellbeing a great deal.

The HUGE, HUGE knock-on disaster from The Leak Incident is that the door to the wine cupboard has become wedged shut against the ruined laminate floor. B ended up wrenching it off last night in his frenzy to get out a demijon of something vaguely drinkable.

Also today - tax return. It is stressing me, so getting it done seems like a good plan.

Good luck with the renovatingness. And with the wine. And the tax. And the avoidance of t'internet. :)

  3. Good luck with "stuff that must be done".

Intrigued by concept of whole cupboard devoted to home-brew!

  5. Hi there sorry to hear about your leak and having to take desperate measures to get into the wine cellar.
I was just dropping by to appeal for some help with reviewing the back log of blogs at the Britblog directory. It's over a thousand blogs big and I seem to be the only one of the editors doing anything at the moment. I didn't sign in myself from December till about a week ago and it's stacked up something rotten. If you can't remember your login details contact mark I think he has a record of them.

  7. Warped laminate? Ick. However, if that was keeping one from one's wine then a bit of wrenching sounded well in order.

  9. Sounds like door and door frame will also now be a bit of a mess, along with flooding damage. A nightmare.

I wonder if your creditors can be bought over with some demi-johns?

BTW I saw this motivational speaker this week .... www.hiyaitsnicky.com and was truly inspiring. She also has a lot of spunk, but her story is quite devastating .... and you just got to remember that as you go through all this that you can do it. You will survive and you can end up even better off.

    Hugs, hugs and more hugs.
