gah

We all have vile cough-cold-snotty-disease-type-pestilence.

Pass the tissues, please.

  1. There's a lot of it about.

Have just sneezed so hard in the general direction of my ashtray that it's contents are now gently settling about four feet away. One of the perils of smoking one doesn't hear about so often.

  3. Speaking as one who appears to have had a cold-type thing since approximately October, I sympathise, I pass a honey-related beverage (alcohol optional), and I offer the suggestion of tea-tree oil in't' bath.

  5. Thank you both.

The hot toddy and honey related beverage option I am taking up.

The tea-tree oil in the bath would be fine if we actually still HAD a bath.

Bathroom renovations are happening. Everyone keeps telling me that it will be lovely when it's finished ...

  7. Poor you, poor baby, poor everybody. I understand camphorated oil is nigh impossible to get hold of these days, but as an alternative I believe there is a 'baby Vick' (camphorated petroleum jelly?), as grown-up Vick is too strong for very young skins.

Otherwise filling pans with water and turning the kitchen into a steam bath can bring temporary respite. Boy have I been there - pram and all.

    Get well soon.

  13. You know ginger wine? Warm some of that up in a pan or in the microwave and drink it. Does you a power of good. Better than Lemspi, anyway.
