status

Me: Still boringly pregnant.
Baby: Wriggling like mad, CLEARLY ready to come out.
B: Insane with work / wife / baby / moving / family stress.
Moving: This Saturday. With birthing pool. Provided the mortgage people get their collective arses in to gear.
Pa: Weak and not at all mobile, but the dual infections seem to have been cleared up by the virulent antibiotics. So we are all holding our breath. Thank you all for the comments and support - particularly Exmonkey and Hedgewizard.
This week: Work, packing, maybe a little labour if the baby feels like it.
Blogging status to be expected for rest of week: Patchy I should think. Apologies in advance.

  6. The Law of Complications says that the mortgage company won't get their collective arses in gear until you are actually giving birth. If you get to move before then, count your blessings. Best of luck! And I think we all expect VERY patchy blogging, but please ask B to post when the baby is born -- please, please, please.

  8. OMG! I'm away from the 'puter for a few days = merely hours, and Everything is Happening to You.

Yep, the NHS is shit, and the care/hygiene/staff2patient ratio appallingly dangerous.

However.... It's just clicked. Birthing pool/moving house. Are you giving birth at home? *shreeks* Wow, and Good Luck

Well, at least if baby arrives on Saturday - you get out of carrying or emptying boxes. natch.

Loads of love to you all, from here xxxx

  10. Best of luck with everything. You know we don't expect to be told the very moment you go into labour. In fact we rather expect everything to go very quiet here, followed some weeks later by a short message saying basically "house - moved, baby - born, dad - much better, will provide more details when I get a chance, i.e. when baby starts school".

  15. You mean you aren't going to 'blog your way through labor?!? I don't know what all these people are talking about, not caring if you don't tell us right away! I want to cheer you along! If you're doing a home birth, it should be easy enough to toddle over to the computer and type in something, shouldn't it?;-)

I hope everything goes well (you, baby, Dad, B, moving house, chickens . . . did I miss anything? Oh, bees!). I won't be surprised if the baby stays put until closer to your due date, but I'll think good labor thoughts for you whether it happens this week or not!

  17. What is your actual due date? I birthed No3 child at home. It was the best! :) You'll love it. Have you tried raspberry leaf tea? Do please let us know how it all goes and good luck with the move, and everything else in your life :)
