plan

Okay, I have written a birth plan. It's a VERY odd thing to do. I may post it later, unusually I am having 'is that appropriate?' scruples :).

On Sunday we are off to Edinburgh for the week - B is working at the festival until Thursday and we are going to stay up there for a pootle round for a few days afterwards. If anyone can think of a particularly nice place to give birth in the city, please can you let me know? Just in case ...

  1. There's a very clean alley way about half way down the Royal Mile on the right...

I'd hold everything in until you get home dear.

  3. Every time the K&D remix of "Bug Powder Dust" comes on the iTunes I say to my girlfriend "Do you know what this is? It's the track that was playing as Poppy was born." Blank look. She doesn't even remember there being music on. I wish I'd known how inattentive she was being, I'd have tried to kiss the foxy midwife.

  5. For what it's worth, I don't think your birth plan would be inappropriate to post, I've always wanted to see a real one.

  7. As a Welsh-American girl (Basso is my married name) who has been lucky enough to spend time in Wales, I can't think of a better place to give birth than there! So, I hope you make it home. Still, where every you give birth will be perfect, because at the end you'll have your baby.

I wish you a peaceful, short labor and a baby with a small head.

I'm expecting my fifth baby, and I think that's the best that I can wish on an expectant mother.

    Peace!
