sour adrenalin

The adoption worker just phoned.

She has a chest infection and has to go to hospital.

Our meeting has therefore been postponed.

  1. Jeez! What a let-down. At least after your surveyor's finished you can chill for a bit until you meet with your Marketing Guru. Remember - breathe. Deep, cleansing breaths.
Have you rescheduled with adoption worker?

  3. No, she literally rang outside her GP's surgery, saying she'd be referred on.

The surveyor has been. He was very formal and I didn't click with him. Now worrying that we won't get the valuation we need :).

    *breathes deeply* :)

  5. Every surveyor I've ever met has been very formal and "business-like" when at work. Don't sweat it. Will you hear about the valuation soon?

  7. I hope so. I'm going to be a basket case otherwise :). Currently trying to arrange a viewing on this.

  9. Now that's rather nice! Yes, I can see why you'd want to view that! I can imagine you pottering around that garden!

  13. The best I can offer in my rather similar state (ie chest and sundry other unpleasant infections) is a Strawbridge which I do willingly

I am sending virtual chamomile in your general direction as you need its calming influence.

  15. Bugger. I second Stegbeetle re the surveyor, btw - I think they're all given some sort of 'thou shalt not be overly familiar' session as part of their training.

Love the look of that house - did you manage to get a viewing sorted? And by gum, money goes further there than it does in Devon...!

  17. Nooooooooooooooooo! Argh, the stress. I hope you are able to reschedule soon.

The house is stunning. Truly, truly stunning. It has so much character, and I can't believe the scenery!

  19. Oh, what a shame about the social worker. It's awful when you are building yourself up for something, only to be let down.

Ditto what everyone else said about the surveyor. They maintain a deliberate air of aloofness, dont worry, it won't afect the valuation.

That little house is lovely, I can see why you would want to live there. I love the way it kind of nestles into the hill.

  23. Oh no, I'm going to sound a right old woman but keep eating properly, take some chill out time if you can find it, - remember yourself in all this!
